The head of state traveled to address Ukrainian forces in the eastern front on Tuesday. Zelenskyy announced that he consulted fighters at the military base of the 1st Corps of the state defense force Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya sector, an urban center approximately 20km from the city.

Volatile Conditions in the Region

Recent mapping from a local initiative showed that invading troops had advanced deeper into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though much of it was not fully held by both forces. The situation remains critical, with reports indicating that invading units were digging in and enhancing fortifications in some districts.

Russian forces are making progress in the Pokrovsk front and are reportedly acting with enhanced confidence within urban Pokrovsk.

Analysts observed that defense units had liberated a significant portion of a enemy advance in the Dobropillya direction, on the east side of the Pokrovsk effort.

Ukrainian Aerial Attacks Deep Inside Russia

Kyiv's aerial vehicles targeted a production facility approximately over 800 miles inside Russian territory at the location. City administration confirmed a blast at the industrial complex that caused its water treatment facility to partially collapse, adding that the reason for the blast was unconfirmed. The armed forces leadership stated there was extensive harm to the facility.

The President's Requests for Global Assistance

Zelenskyy urged the US to continue considering to providing Ukraine with long-range weapons. Speaking at an EU meeting from the eastern front, the national leader also requested more western sanctions on the nation – including on Russia's gas and nuclear sectors – and said he sought accession to the union by the end of the 2020s.

Global Support and Diplomatic Updates

The federal republic plans to increase defense support to the eastern European country by €3bn next year to about €11.5bn, the finance ministry in Berlin said on Tuesday. This includes, among other things, heavy weapons, drones, armoured vehicles and the replacement of two Patriot systems.
